The Claire Tow Theater (formally the Walt Whitman Theatre) is the flagship theatre in the Performing Arts complex; the 2380 seat faux art-deco theatre boasts a state-of-the-art, digital controlled lighting system allowing for the mounting of complex and visually sophistocated productions. Likewise, the sound system can produce everything from the delicate whisper of a gentle breeze to the breathtaking, feel-it-in-the-pit-of-your-stomach thunder rolls of a massive super-storm, all in total surround sound.

As can be seen from these pictures, the theatre's interior is rich in aesthetics, style and personality, capturing and combining art-deco elements with the natural beauty of curved cherry-wood and flowing vellour, while contrasting that with the shimmer and strength of brushed stainless-steel accents. The full effect for the patron is one of inviting comfort and anticipation of the event about to unfold on the Great Stage.
