Brooklyn Center & Weeksville Team-Up for National Grid Earth Day

Brooklyn Center & Weeksville Team-Up for National Grid Earth Day

Brooklyn Center is partnering with Weeksville Heritage Center (WHC) to co-present its 11th annual National Grid Earth Day Celebration on Saturday, April 21, 2018, from 2pm-5pm.

The celebration will feature educator stations featuring experiential learning games, interactive science experiments, earth-themed arts and crafts, and other activities for children – all of which underscore the importance of ecology, conservation, and environmental sustainability. For younger children, the celebration will include favorites such as face painting, puppetry, roving acrobats, kiddie-yoga, student martial arts demonstrations, recycled-material instrument making, live music, and more.

The celebration will also include free access to WHC’s museum and historic homestead tours, opportunities for children to learn about ecology in WHC’s garden, and opportunities for families to learn about healthy eating and lifestyles in WHC’s onsite teaching labs.

Admission is free! Come out and join us at Weeksville Heritage Center (pictured above) on Sat, April 21 from 2pm-5pm.
