Our rental rates are contingent upon the type of show or event that is being contemplated, but whatever the event, large or small, our full staff of highly skilled theatrical professionals will help you bring your performance or event from the drawing board to full realization and at extremely competitive prices. The Center has been praised by many producers (most of whom return year after year) as one of the friendliest, most helpful of any venue in which to produce a show.
Brooklyn Center is proud of its long tradition of involvement with the Brooklyn Community by way of offering the magnificent Claire TowTheatre for rental at very attractive rates, making it the ideal gathering and performance space for community, civic and cultural groups, as well as those desiring the full scope of a professional production crew and a fully-equipped theatrical venue.
Every June, Brooklyn Center launches the Graduation Project. It has been a tradition here for decades. Over fifty of our Brooklyn high schools and colleges, Fire and Police Department Academies take advantage of the large seating capacity of the Claire Tow Theatre for their commencement ceremonies. Literally hundreds of thousands of Brooklynites are indelibly linked to the Center because one of the most important milestones in their lives -- their graduation -- took place on the Great Stage. If you are the administrator in charge of your school's graduation and are considering booking the theatre for the event, don't hesitate to contact us. The sooner the better to secure an available date in June.
From its inception, Brooklyn Center's long-standing mission has always been to support local community groups and organizations, helping them to mount their own performances and events in our facilities.
Technical Info and House Policies
When renting the Center's Claire Tow Theatre to produce an event, both the Center's Production and House Management teams have compiled a Handbook containing comprehensive information relating to the technical as well as the physical aspects of the Walt Whitman Theatre facility. All House Policies under which we operate are also detailed. It is highly recommended that any prospective client download and read this information, especially the House Policies section. Your technical crew will find this information invaluable.
