Brooklyn Center has installed a variety of aids to assist our patrons with disabilities in gaining access to and enjoying the performances. Our staff has been specially trained to assure that patrons in need of these assists can utilize them to their best advantage. If you have special requirements, contact us at 718-951-4600 x3322 as far in advance as possible so that we might be better prepared to meet your particular needs.
Wheelchair Seat Locations
In the Walt Whitman Theatre: Accessible locations in the Orchestra sections areavailable to accomodate wheelchairs. Along with advanced notice, we recommend that patrons using wheelchairs be accompanied by a companion to provide assistance. Seating for one accompanying patron is available next to a wheelchair space. There are also a number of transfer seats on the isles for patrons with wheelchairs. These seats allow easy access from the wheelchair to the seat.
In the New Workshop Theatre: Accessibility is available for patrons using wheelchairs,but it is essential that ourHouse Manager be informed at least four days in advance of the playdate.It is recommeded that patrons using wheelchairs be accompanied by a companion to provide assistance. ADA parking spaces are located near wheelchair ramps along the outside of the building. Parking attendants will direct patrons who will be using wheelchairs to designated ADA parking spaces.
Wheelchair Accessible Restrooms
Restrooms that can accommodate wheelchairs are accessible from all wheelchair designated areas. For performances in the New Workshop Theatre, please inform our House Manager, Gerard Vaccarello (718-951-4600 x3334) at least three days prior to the performance date so arrangements can be made.
Push-button operated doors are located near the box office windows.
