This whimsical, interactive children’s show follows the exploits of Coyote, the trickster character from the folklore of many North American Indian Nations. Using narration, puppetry, live and recorded music, Native American-influenced costumes, and beautifully choreographed movement, the performers of Treehouse Shakers will take families on a delightful and humorous journey of deceit and adventure.
For more information about Coyote's Dance, please visit Treehouse Shakers' website at www.treehouseshakers.com.
Running Time: 45 minutes
Recommended for ages four and up
Plus! Brooklyn Center MEMBERS are invited to join us after the performance for a free Story-Dance Workshop (for ages 4-10 and their grown-ups!) conducted by Treehouse Shakers’ teaching artists. Participants will listen to stories, learn choreography, and even invent their own movement and story. Space is limited. Please RSVP by clicking HERE.
Please note that this performance will be held at the Kumble Theater, located at Long Island University's Brooklyn campus, NOT at the Walt Whitman Theatre.
This event is part of The New York State Presenter-Artist Partnership Project made possible through a regrant from the New York State Council on the Arts, a state agency with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature.
