TRANSIT DISRUPTION FOR SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 23-- Please note that the #2 train will NOT run between Manhattan and Brooklyn on November 23. Ticket holders for A Bronx Tale should take the #5 train as an alternative, which will be running to the Flatbush Avenue station. Please allow yourself extra travel time when coming to Brooklyn Center this weekend.
Curiosity. Discovery. Imagination.
Just a few reasons why the arts are vital to the development of Brooklyn's students.
Every year, Brooklyn Center's SchoolTime series reaches tens of thousands of students from public, private, and home schools across the borough and beyond, introducing them to the magic and wonder of live performing arts. Theater, dance, music, puppetry, spectacle, and more ignite their imaginations and cultivate lifelong enthusiasm for the arts.
SchoolTime performances provide professional educational experiences that encourage and support literacy, creativity, and communication across the academic curriculum. Each show is linked to one or more curriculum areas, including language arts, fine arts, science, history, and social studies, with options available for students from Pre-K all the way up to high school. We hope that you will include Brooklyn Center's SchoolTime series as a part of your upcoming academic year, and we look forward to welcoming you and your students to the Walt Whitman Theatre at Brooklyn College.
